Christmas trees sprouted just about every conspicuous corner and blended well with the musharabiyas, solid timber posts, arched trusses, ornate hanging lamps, wind towers and other arabic architecture elements. Not far behind is the Burj Al Arab, whose presence commands more attention at night.
