Each day, I never fail to thank God for gifting me with a beautiful and loving wife and two amazing sons. I just couldn't ask for more and could not figure out how I deserved all these wonderful blessings...

Burj Al Arab

Your stay or visit in Dubai is incomplete without seeing the fabulous 7 star hotel that has been sensationalized for its visual imagery, international celebrity occupancy and whimsically extravagant interiors. It has become an unofficial symbol of sorts of the so called New Dubai , as opposed to the Old Dubai which is in Deira side and synonymous with traditional souks and the abra ( short ride boats, which I will discuss in my future post ).

And so, after 2 years of living and working in Dubai, we have decided one Saturday morning, that we need to have our share of basking in this contemporary piece of architecture's glow. And the closest that we can get is at the end of Jumeirah Open Beach
which is just at the right distance for us to get a good backdrop for our souvenir postcard perfect shots.

With us are our Pareng Brix ( Diego's Ninong), our niece Tracy and my sis-in-law, Bikoy.

There were dead jelly fishes lying around the beach on that day, apparent collateral damages of Palm Island projects nearby.
